Default The 2010 Land Rover Discovery

This was one of the latest the Land Rover that has prepared facelifts for three of its models and one of them is the 2010 Land Rover Discovery also known as the LR4. The highlights of this mid-life upgrade are a new engine, improved dynamics and a restyled design. The engine, a new 5.0 liter V8, features a new type of variable camshaft timing system (VCT), delivers 375 hp and peak torque of 375 lb.-ft. and meets the American ULEV2 regulations. Power is transferred to the wheels via a revised 6-speed automatic transmission which improves the engine’s efficiency and lowers the CO2 emissions.

The big news under the bonnet of Discovery 4 is the arrival of the new Jaguar Land Rover 3.0-litre V6 diesel. It’s an evolution of the current 2.7 TDV6 (which continues for base-end versions) and is equipped with the very latest in common-rail technology and a particulate filter to trim emissions to 244g/km, meet EU5 exhuast limits not due in until 2011, and hit an average of 30.4mpg.
